   • discuss mood
   • Who is Edgar Allan Poe?
   • introduce selection vocabulary

WEDNESDAY: ANYTHING BUT A BACKPACK DAY

2. Drama: “The Tell-Tale Heart”:
   • review selection vocabulary
   • protagonist vs antagonist
   • identify elements of drama in selection
   • purpose in reading: selection vocabulary, drama elements, identify the mood
   • read drama
   • whole group discussion
   • begin discussion questions (group work)

THURSDAY:  HALLOWEEN COSTUME DAY
